I get slammed randomly throughout the day with thoughts of “I have cancer, what the actual fuck??” but other times I briefly forget, and then it’s newly shocking when the thought returns. My anxiety medication definitely helps keep the intrusive thoughts at bay.
I’m still holding out hope for an “after” when I can re-inhabit my body and feel safe in it, but maybe that’s a pipe dream.
